Occupy the T!

Mayor Menino's midnight deadline last night passed.. without eviction!

We are excited to celebrate the tenacity of Occupy Boston with the new, winter phase of the 99% String Quartet - Occupy the T!

We will be playing today, Friday, Dec 9, from 4pm-6pm in a downtown T station. Aiming for South Station (Red line, Alewife-bound platform), if we can nab the spot. Otherwise, we may be found at Park St, North Station, or Downtown Crossing!

99% String Quartet Debut Performance

The 99% String Quartet is newly formed to support Occupy Boston!
Because musicians are the 99%!

Sharon Cohen (violin), Shaw Pong Liu (violin), Sarah Darling (viola) and Michael Unterman (cello) performed the "debut" noon concert for the 99% String Quartet yesterday Oct 11th at Occupy Boston.

It was a beautiful sunny day, with great crowds, generous farmers' market neighbors (the f.m. manager even lent us a tent for shade), and lots of press milling around after the previous night's arrests.

What a beautiful and incredibly fun way to contribute our beliefs, passion, and love for music to this exciting movement!
